We are looking for experienced
Medical Technician to join our team at our
Port Arthur, TX, site . In addition to a rewarding work environment, we offer our professionals competitive benefits and salary. This is a PRN position.
Position Responsibilities - Ability to work independently
- Ability to demonstrate: organizational skills, efficiency in all task and attention to detail
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical information.
- Ability to effectively present information, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to use computer and telephone.
- Knowledge of current diagnostic tests, their functions, and normal results.
- Has consistently demonstrated service-oriented performance.
- Must adhere to the service expectations of CORE, LLC.
Duties - Adheres to all CORE, LLC policies and procedures.
- Adheres to departmental Quality Assurance procedures.
- Performs Respirator Fit testing.
- Performs Pulmonary Function Test
- Obtains basic history, and medical information, and take vital signs
- Administers intramuscular injections under authorization and supervision of physician in accordance with State of Louisiana law and prevailing CORE, LLC agreements and protocols.
- Performs collection of vital signs, Performs visual acuity and color testing.
- Performs urine specimen collection following DOT regulations and/or chain of custody requirements.
- Performs safe venipuncture
- Performs urine dipstick testing.
- Performs 12 lead EKGs.
- Performs audiometric screening.
- Performs other duties as required.
Position Qualifications - Current Medical Assistant Certificates with state license, if applicable
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Pass DISA Background Check
- Pass DISA Drug and Alcohol Screening
- TWIC Card (preferred)
- Basic Orientation Plus from Alliance Safety Council (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees
