A family in Mendham, NJ is looking for a nanny or manny for their two children, ages five months old and 18 months old. Care will primarily be for the younger child. The schedule may vary, but in general will be Mondays from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm; Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm; Wednesdays from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm; and Fridays from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Flexibility to stay late some evenings and provide occasional date night care is a plus.
Ideal caregiver:
The ideal caregiver for this family is loving, attentive, thoughtful, careful, and experienced. They are willing to take direction and maintain open communication with the parents.
Duties include:
Handling the children's laundry. Maintaining basic tidiness of the children’s areas and belongings. Preparing bottles. Assisting with basic meal preparation for the children. Providing occasional afternoon/evening care for the older child, who is in daycare during the day. The family has one dog and one pig who live in the house and 11 pigs who live outside, but no pet care is required.
About the household:
These parents are family-oriented, loving, curious, hardworking, and thoughtful. So far, their mode of “discipline” has been clear communication. They plan to try for another baby within one to two years.
About the children:
This 5- month-old baby is sweet, happy, strong, smart, and hungry! He loves to snuggle and hang out with his big sister. This 18-month-old toddler is sweet, curious, adventurous, smart, and also hungry! She loves books, building things, and being with her brother. She will be starting swimming classes and soccer in the fall. The children get along very well.
