Reframe Systems is on a mission to build net-zero carbon housing for all, at massive scale. To achieve our mission, we need to make net-zero carbon housing more affordable and we are re-imagining how housing is designed and built. Our volumetric module platform and highly-automated production system will drive down cost, delivery time, and embodied carbon for multifamily housing. We are setting up our first digital factory in the greater Boston area (Andover, MA), and have a roadmap to scale our presence nationally. We are disrupting assembly line manufacturing for housing production and are backed by leading VC firms in the industrial and construction space.
We are seeking a Production Manager/Lead Carpenter to oversee our modular housing production line. This role combines the hands-on leadership of a construction site supervisor with the systematic approach of manufacturing. Drawing from your background in carpentry, construction supervision, or site management, you'll lead our skilled trades team in building housing modules within our controlled factory environment in Andover, MA. This position bridges traditional construction expertise with modern manufacturing methods.
Lead and mentor a team of carpenters, trades workers, and assembly technicians in the daily production of housing modules, similar to managing crews on a construction site but in a controlled factory setting
Supervise construction quality and techniques across multiple concurrent module builds, ensuring consistency and precision in framing, finishing, and assembly
Coordinate workflow between different trade disciplines (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.) to maintain efficient production sequencing
Apply your construction expertise to improve our manufacturing processes, focusing on build efficiency and quality control
Manage material staging, tool organization, and workspace setup to maintain an efficient and safe production environment
Troubleshoot construction-related challenges in real-time and implement solutions to keep production moving
Work with engineering team to refine building processes and assembly sequences
7+ years of carpentry, construction supervision, or site management experience, preferably in residential construction
Strong track record leading and mentoring teams of skilled tradespeople
Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and translate them into clear work instructions
Experience coordinating multiple trade disciplines and managing complex building sequences
Strong understanding of residential construction methods, building codes, and quality standards
Demonstrated ability to maintain high quality standards while meeting production schedules
Experience with precision measuring tools and quality control processes
