Job Description

Salary: $48,000 - 48,000 per year Requirements:

  • We expect you to have 2–3 years of experience in a technical support position. A solid foundation in IT troubleshooting principles (including Windows, basic networking, and peripherals) is essential. You should also have experience with both software and hardware systems, demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additionally, the ability to handle multiple support tickets at once and prioritize tasks effectively is crucial.
Responsibilities:
  • In this role, you will provide technical support for POS software and hardware, including registers, kiosks, barcode scanners, and printers. You will troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and networking issues via phone, email, and remote sessions. It is important that you document reported issues, the steps taken to troubleshoot, and the outcomes in our ticketing system. You will also collaborate with our development team on escalated software bugs or configuration matters, guide customers through system installations, updates, and configuration changes, and maintain current knowledge of POS features, IT best practices, and system updates. Delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the prompt resolution of support requests will be a key part of your responsibilities.

At ARBA Retail Systems, a Point of Sales software company based in Lisle, IL, we support around 300 clients across the US and Canada. We specialize in customized point of sales solutions that include inventory management, online ordering, self-service kiosks, patient room service, and payroll deductions, allowing employees to make purchases using their badges, with charges deducted from their salaries. Approximately 80% of our clients are healthcare facilities, with the remaining clients including various pet stores, convenience stores, and corporate offices.

Our dress code is business casual, leaning more toward the casual side. The standard working hours are from 8:30 am to 5 pm CST. We offer 10 PTO days and 7 paid holidays, but do not provide additional health benefits. Candidates must be vaccinated and willing to work in our office, though a work-from-home option will be available three months after your start date.

This is a full-time position, with a starting salary of $48,000.00 per year. Preferred education for candidates is an associate degree, and we look for 2 years of IT experience. The work location is in person.
